SLR has a great opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join our APAC Finance team in Brisbane on a full-time basis. This exciting role has been created due to the company's growth and offers a fantastic opportunity for someone comfortable in a customer focused, high-volume, fast-paced environment. After a qualifying period, this partially hybrid role provides the autonomy to manage and take ownership of your own ledgers.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Credit Controller and working within a small credit team, your main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Managing and taking ownership of your own ledgers
• Conducting credit assessments
• Negotiating payment terms
• Following up on overdue invoices and initiating collection efforts
• Processing and verifying customer credit applications
• Maintaining accurate customer records
• Resolving unallocated payments
• Prioritising competing tasks effectively

Skills & experience

Ideally, you will bring the following experience, although a willingness to learn is also highly valued:

• Legal knowledge
• Insolvency knowledge
• Experience with journaling credits
• Managing overseas collections
• Strong communication and negotiating skills
