About Snowy
Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for generations. Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar energy. We also provide electricity and gas to about 1.5 million retail customers through our retail brands Red Energy and Lumo Energy.
Snowy 2.0 is Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
About The Position
As Manager, People Systems, you'll take ownership of Snowy Hydro's people technology ecosystem—driving the stability, optimisation, and future transformation of our core HRIS, SAP SuccessFactors alongside supporting other HR tools.
Sitting within the People Services & Solutions team, this leadership role spans operational excellence (Run), continuous improvement (Grow), and will play an advisory role on future roadmaps (Transform). You'll work across business functions to deliver seamless, integrated, and forward-thinking HR tech experiences that support the full employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee system stability, performance, compliance, and data governance across SAP SuccessFactors
- Lead the delivery of upgrades, releases, configuration changes, and system improvements aligned to business priorities
- Manage vendor relationships and performance, ensuring high-impact partnerships and value from service providers
- Drive continuous improvement by managing product backlogs, leading agile sprint planning, and integrating user feedback and analytics
- Collaborate with Centres of Excellence, Technology, and business teams to align People Technology roadmaps with strategic goals
- Champion system adoption and digital capability uplift, ensuring change management, training, and communication strategies are in place
This role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, or Cooma, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle and preferences. We have offices in all three locations, providing excellent opportunities for professional growth, networking, and innovation in the cybersecurity and compliance space.
Whether you choose Melbourne—with its vibrant arts scene, diverse culture, and renowned food and coffee—Sydney, known for its iconic harbour, dynamic business environment, and coastal lifestyle, or Cooma, offering a close-knit community, a relaxed regional lifestyle, and easy access to the Snowy Mountains, you'll be working in a location that supports both career advancement and quality of life. Our centrally located offices are easily accessible and surrounded by a wide range of amenities.
About You
- 5+ years' experience in HR systems management roles, with proven leadership of both BAU and project teams
- Deep expertise in SAP SuccessFactors (essential), with exposure to a request management tool like ServiceNow HRSD (preferred)
- Strong understanding of core HR domains including Payroll, Talent, and Employee Lifecycle
- Skilled in agile delivery, including backlog management and sprint execution
- Experienced in vendor management and working across complex stakeholder environments
- Inspires and leads teams to deliver high performance while balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic goals
- Applies strong problem-solving and communication skills to translate technical concepts and drive user-focused solutions
- Collaborates effectively across diverse teams and thrives in fast-paced, complex, and changing environments
- Desirable: background in HR technology strategy or transformation initiatives; familiarity with HR/payroll integration and enterprise data flow
- Desirable: tertiary qualifications in HR, IT, or related fields; or relevant industry experience with other HRIS or payroll systems; familiarity with integrations, analytics tools, and project delivery methods.
