About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Corporate and Advisory Tax team in a role focused purely on advisory work. We're looking for someone who wants to move beyond compliance and dive into complex, high-value tax advisory services. It is a diverse role involving both corporate and private client related tax matters. You'll advise in corporate and M&A advice to international tax issues to Private Client tax matters such as trusts including ATO review programs.

Working closely with our Directors, this role offers personal and technical development, the chance to provide a broad range of advisory services, and the opportunity to shape the future of our tax service offerings. You'll work with clients across diverse industries, ensuring every day brings new challenges and learning opportunities.

Role and Responsibilities

  1. Deliver expert tax advisory services.
  2. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive tax and business advisory services.
  3. Engage in business development activities to expand the firm's service reach.
  4. Coach and mentor junior team members, contributing to their professional growth.
  5. Uphold and advance our technical standards, participating in our technical training programs.

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Ideally at least 4 years Tax experience in Big 4 or mid-tier firm;
  2. Experience advising large privately owned groups and medium capped ASX listed industrial companies;
  3. Experience in writing letters of advice and ATO PBRs applications, and dispute resolutions;
  4. Keen attention to detail a must;
  5. Tax legal qualifications such as TIA CTA advanced, post graduate Masters of Tax, or a combination of Commerce and Law degrees; and
  6. Strong proficiency and aptitude in tax law and legislation.
