The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Analyst – Financial Crime Investigations & Screening to join our Operations team based in Melbourne. Reporting to the Manager – Financial Crime Investigations & Screening, this role plays a critical part in ensuring Crown's compliance with AML/CTF legislation and regulatory obligations.

You will be responsible for conducting financial crime investigations and customer screening activities, identifying suspicious matters, and supporting the timely and accurate reporting to AUSTRAC. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, with an understanding of financial crime risks specific to the gaming industry.

You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting financial crime investigations and customer screening alert reviews in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying and escalating potentially suspicious matters for assessment and reporting.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate submission of Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs) to AUSTRAC.
  • Collaborating with internal teams including Customer Intelligence and Due Diligence, and the Financial Crime Intelligence Unit (FCIU).
  • Producing management information (MI) reports and maintaining accurate case documentation.
  • Continuously developing AML/CTF knowledge and staying informed of regulatory changes.

About You

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and investigative professional with a strong understanding of AML/CTF compliance and a passion for financial crime prevention. Experience within the gaming industry or financial services would be ideal.

You will also bring:

  • A degree (or working towards one) in Business, Law, or a related field (desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of AML/CTF regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in financial crime investigations and screening.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
