About the Team

Our APJ Sales organization serves as a strategic partner for our customers, helping them achieve a more secure digital future. By leveraging the full value of our product portfolio, our Sales teams create relevant solutions to meet our customers' needs and keep them secure. This position reports to the Director of Sales and will be supported by our team of Sales Engineers, with access to Product Specialists, Product Managers, and Customer Success teams, all with the collective goal of best serving our India customer base with best-in-class Cybersecurity solutions and services.

Our Account Executives are set up to be successful through our sales enablement team, who, through a blend of training programs and coaching, will ensure that all our AEs are fully immersed in our business and products and can articulate Rapid7 solutions to align with customer needs.

About The Role

Due to increased demand, we are looking to hire an Enterprise Account Executive in Perth. In this role, you will make a significant contribution to the growth and success of the business in your assigned region, territory, or vertical, by aggressively developing new business through new and existing accounts and managing profitable business relationships to assist in the achievement of the sales plan. This position is supported by our team of Sales Engineers and will have access to Product Specialists, Channel Managers, and Customer Success teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and manage all of Western Australia accounts across public and private sector.
  2. Responsible for lead generation, building relationships with prospective customers, account profiling, and developing the prospective customer into a revenue generating customer.
  3. Position Rapid7 platform and MDR services to assigned territory.
  4. Proven solution sales experience in identifying market size and focus; developing sales pipeline; penetrating new accounts and driving the sales process.
  5. Ability to multi-task numerous sales cycles simultaneously while ensuring revenue goals are achieved.
  6. Meet or exceed quarterly/annual sales quota.
  7. Develop and manage pipeline, providing weekly updates to forecast.
  8. Ensure the provision of appropriate business information for decision-making and control.
  9. Negotiate contracts, up-sell, build customer rapport, and assist with adoption.
  10. Provide appropriate sales tracking and reporting as required leveraging Salesforce.com and Clari.
  11. Represent Rapid7 at external events, including industry events.
  12. Navigate channel and MSSP partners and effectively collaborate to grow assigned territory business.
  13. Manage and respond to RFPs, working with internal stakeholders within and outside of Australia.
About You
  1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a New Business Sales role within the Cyber Security industry.
  2. Ability to demonstrate a detailed understanding of solution selling.
  3. A track record of consistent performance and outstanding target achievement in a New Business Development role.
  4. Brings existing relationships at Technology Management level within government or public sector customers.
  5. Past experience working in Western Australia is a must.
  6. An entrepreneurial spirit by which you will own and drive your own business in the region.
