Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Lawyer / Associate to join a collaborative and high-performing team based in our Brisbane CBD office. Reporting to the Principal Lawyer for the Dust Diseases team, you will be challenged to use your technical knowledge and experience in personal injuries litigation to strive for fair outcomes for our clients. Your excellent interpersonal communication skills and 'can-do' attitude will help you manage conflicting business needs and deadlines confidently, prioritising effectively. With your strong client focus and passion for helping people, you will foster and manage relationships with referrers and other external parties while also looking to grow our practice.

Our Asbestos, Silica and Occupational Disease Team has over 20 years of experience in Dust Diseases litigation and prides itself on ensuring that clients receive the best compensation results and exceptional service during their compensation journey.

Qualifications

  • Graduate to 2-3 years post-admission experience
  • Experience in Personal injury law (Dust / asbestos litigation, workers compensation or medical negligence) is required
  • Keen interest to specialise in this area of law
  • Experience in business development is preferable
  • Strong legal, commercial, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong client and relationship-building skills
  • Strong client service focus and a passion for helping people
  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to multi-task
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to provide leadership and guidance to the wider team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
