About Us

headspace provides support to young people aged 12-25 experiencing mild to moderate or emerging mental health issues. The multidisciplinary team at headspace Wollongong works to improve health, social, vocational, and educational outcomes for young people. Grand Pacific Health is the lead agency of headspace Wollongong. We are a not-for-profit, primary health care organisation providing locally-tailored, high-quality physical and mental health services across NSW and the ACT.

About The Position

The Mental Health Clinician will work collaboratively with a young person and their family/carers to identify support needs, goals, and develop collaborative care plans. The position provides high-quality psychosocial assessment and evidence-based, focused interventions under supervision. The Mental Health Clinician works closely with other team members and external service providers to maximise care outcomes for young people referred to headspace Wollongong. This is a part-time, fixed-term position until 30 June 2026, with negotiable hours and days, and a possibility for extension.

We Are Looking For Someone With
  • Passion and experience working with young people
  • Registration with APHRA as a Psychologist or working towards mental health accreditation as an Occupational Therapist or Social Worker
  • Understanding of assessment and diagnosis of mental health disorders and provision of evidence-based psychological strategies
  • Relevant experience in delivering group and individual interventions
