Downer is seeking skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our team in Maddington, WA. This role offers a mix of workshop and field-based responsibilities, maintaining and repairing heavy plant machinery and trucks. No two days are the same—ideal for those who thrive in a fast-paced, safety-first environment.
Locations: Maddington, WA
Employment Type: Full-Time | Workshop & Field-Based
Base pay range: A$50.00/hr - A$55.00/hr

- Provide breakdown support and fault diagnostics in the field
- Ensure all work meets Downer's safety and operational standards
- Collaborate with a skilled team while also working independently
- Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Plant Mechanics, or Fitting (essential)
- Strong hydraulic knowledge and fault-finding skills
- Experience with mobile plant, trucks, and heavy equipment
- Auto electrical experience (highly regarded)
- HR and Forklift licences (desirable)
- A proactive attitude and commitment to safety
