What we are looking for :

Applications are invited for the position of Physical Education Teacher to join the staff of St Francis Xavier Catholic Primary School, Mackay. This is a part-time contract position for 18hpw, starting from 20 January 2026 until 18 January 2027.

Applications are welcome from individuals who support the school's ethos and possess the following qualifications:

• Relevant tertiary qualification (or eligible to graduate)
• Evidence of successfully passing the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education Students
• Appropriate qualities, knowledge, and skills to provide a relevant and holistic education
• Eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
• A desire to serve communities within the diocese of Rockhampton

Mandatory Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and ability to obtain Queensland College of Teachers Registration
• Australian work rights
