About the Opportunity

An opportunity is now available for an enthusiastic and energetic casual Kitchen Attendant, who enjoys working in large and fast paced environment, to join our dynamic & busy kitchen team.

The Kitchen Attendant is responsible for ensuring a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment is maintained at all times. This will be achieved by performing cleaning duties within the kitchen, food preparation and scullery areas. Your responsibilities will be to:

Ensure the kitchen, food preparation & scullery areas are a clean and hygienic work environment

Clean dishes, utensils and equipment

Handle and use chemicals safely

Operate dishwashing equipment & move catering equipment

Lifting of heavy items & dispose of waste

Deep clean kitchens & perform duties to a high standard

Availability to work 30+ hours/ 4 to 5 shifts per week is required. The typical shift patterns are:

7 AM to 3PM

3 PM to 10 PM

What you'll need to be successful

Previous kitchen stewarding or cleaning experience (highly regarded)

Previous experience using a commercial dishwasher advantageous,

General knowledge of catering equipment, cleaning and hygienic kitchen procedures

Ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and in a fast-paced environment

Work well with others in a team environment, display a friendly positive can do attitude with a willingness to learn

Can take direction and follow instructions or work independently & show initiative

The ability to perform the physical requirements of this role including comfortably lift up to 20kgs and performing repetitive manual tasks safely
