About the position:
Our client is seeking a Construction & Infrastructure Lawyer (Associate level) to become an integral part of their respected national team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a lawyer looking to refine their technical skills while receiving day-to-day guidance from some of the most experienced practitioners in the field.
You'll be exposed to a broad mix of legal work including project delivery, contract drafting and negotiation, risk management, regulatory advice, and dispute resolution. The role spans across sectors—ranging from large-scale public infrastructure to private development projects—offering valuable exposure and variety.
This team places strong emphasis on mentoring, with regular check-ins, development plans, and coaching from senior lawyers. Whether you're looking to specialise or broaden your practice, you'll be supported every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on infrastructure delivery, construction contracts, and procurement processes
- Draft and negotiate major project documents, service agreements, and regulatory frameworks
- Represent clients in dispute resolution processes including litigation and arbitration
- Work alongside senior lawyers on complex, high-value matters across sectors
- Contribute to team knowledge sharing, precedent development, and client education
- Stay up to date with legislative changes and emerging trends in the construction industry
- 3-5 years PAE with exposure to construction or infrastructure law
- A strong interest in both front-end advisory and back-end dispute work
- Clear, confident communication skills and an eagerness to learn
- A collaborative mindset with a willingness to contribute to team growth
- Ability to manage client needs while working under senior supervision
- Strong drafting and legal analysis skills
