Our client, LAIDLEY FUELS TRUST t/a Grantham Fuels, is seeking a passionate and experienced Retail Manager to lead the day-to‑day operations of their store. This full‑time position is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys leading a team, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and ensuring the store operates efficiently while achieving business objectives.

Job Responsibility

• Manage the overall retail operations of the store while maintaining high standards of customer service, profitability and operational excellence.

Duties

• Monitor daily sales activities and adjust product offerings to meet customer demand and seasonal trading patterns.
• Manage inventory levels by forecasting stock requirements, coordinating supplier deliveries and reducing stock wastage.
• Establish customer service expectations and ensure the team consistently delivers a welcoming and efficient in-store experience.
• Plan and coordinate promotional activities, local marketing campaigns and in-store merchandising to increase customer engagement and sales.
• Provide customers with product information and recommendations while supporting the sales team during busy trading periods.
• Maintain accurate records relating to stock movements, daily sales, cash handling and other financial transactions.
• Prepare and monitor store budgets, review operating costs and implement initiatives to improve profitability.
• Recruit new employees, organise staff induction and training, allocate daily work responsibilities and oversee employee performance.
• Prepare staff rosters to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained in line with business requirements.
• Ensure the store complies with workplace health and safety requirements, food safety standards and company operating procedures.
• Review business performance reports, identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualification

• AQF Diploma or higher.
• 3-5 years of experience in related field.

Salary

• $75,000 – $90,000 + Superannuation

Employment Condition

• Full Time
• 38 hours per week.
