Secondary Health and Physical Education Teacher

Fixed Term Part-Time

Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Victoria) Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Health and Physical Education Teacher to join the supportive secondary team at Heritage College. This is a Fixed-term part-time position. This position is open to graduates and commences as soon as possible and concludes at the end of the 2025 school year.

The successful candidate will demonstrate that they:

  • Plan, prepare and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes
  • Use critical reflection to improve the knowledge, learning and skills of students
  • Use multiple sources of feedback on their classroom practice to inform their professional learning goals
  • Show a willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching and learning within the school and the wider Seventh-day Adventist school system
  • Can support and actively promote, and not undermine, the Christian-based values and ethos of the College based on the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
  • Have the capacity to teach the Australian curriculum in the context of the College's Christian-based ethos
  • Can plan for and lead daily Christian-based class devotions to students

Requirements of the role:

  • Bachelor of Education
  • VIT Registered Teacher

  • Reference checks will be undertaken including referencing your ability to work safely with children
  • Position is subject to maintaining registration with VIT

The salary range is $83-124k based on years of experience.
