Civil Designer / Senior Civil Designer - Urban Development at Arcadis

Role descriptionDue to continued work and commencement of new projects, our Design and Engineering (Urban Development) division is looking for a Senior Civil Designer to help us ensure project delivery across a range of sectors on the Gold Coast.
Responsibilities- Providing quality delivery of the designs using 12D predominately; some Civil 3D experience will be of benefit.
- Successfully manage, plan, resource and complete assigned modelling projects within agreed budgets and deadlines.
- Assist the Project Manager in determining the drafting & other design resources required for a project plan, including elements suitable for outsourcing.
- Ensure the production of project documents that are accurate, clear and concise and compliant with best practice and any other quality standards dictated by the nature of the project.
- Resolve complex technical drafting and design issues.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with Project Managers, Design Engineers and drafters within other disciplines.
- Relevant Engineering degree and/ or certifications.
- At least 5+ years of demonstrated industry experience in the application of 12D and Civil 3D software using in-depth knowledge of civil design standards.
- Experience using AutoCAD and 12d Synergy.
- Design knowledge in road design, earthworks (steep site experience valued) / grading design and utilities design (water, sewer, drainage).
- Excellent client-focus and a sound technical know-how.
- Ability to develop elements of design from concept sketches to detailed drawings.
- High attention to detail and ability to deliver quality output within the timeline.
- Experience working on Urban Development projects within Southeast Qld. or Northern NSW.
