Pacific Furniture and Bedding are looking for a new Delivery Driver who will be part of our Driver / Warehouse team in Unanderra NSW. We are looking for an experienced Truck Driver with an MR licence. The role is a minimum of 4 days per week, 5 days in peak periods. Generally Monday to Thursday. We do furniture deliveries, so experience in packing and delivering furniture is advantageous but not essential.

The role involves doing our local store furniture deliveries, as well as deliveries for our stores in places such as Eden, Gunnedah and Glen Innes, so 1-3 overnight hotel stays per week are part of the role. Hotel room is paid for by the company and an allowance is paid to cover expenses. There are also some days spent at the warehouse packing trucks and organising stock.

Customer service is extremely important as our Drivers are our final customer contact, so being a good communicator and experience in dealing with customers is also important. If this sounds like you, we look forward to hearing from you.

Responsibilities
  • Perform local and regional furniture deliveries as part of the Driver / Warehouse team.
  • Pack and prepare furniture for delivery; assist with stock organisation at the warehouse.
  • Provide excellent customer service and act as the final customer contact.
  • Coordinate with stores on deliveries and ensure timely, safe handover to customers.
  • Overnight travel (1-3 nights per week) with company-paid hotel and expense allowance.
Qualifications
  • MR Truck licence (mandatory).
  • Experience delivering furniture is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
