Hervey Bay, Australia Compass Rehabilitation Full time

Compass Rehab is a multidisciplinary allied health service providing occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and exercise physiology. Our primary focus is neurological rehabilitation, but we also target areas of health of interest to our team, including paediatrics and aged care. Located in the heart of the medical precincts in Hervey Bay and Maryborough, our service is growing, and we are seeking Occupational Therapists to join our expanding allied health team.

Duties include:
  1. Independently applying clinical judgment, knowledge, and skills to clinical Occupational therapy tasks and decision-making.
  2. Providing services such as equipment prescription, minor home modifications, report completion (including functional capacity assessments and others as required), ADL assessments, and ongoing therapies for a range of physical, psychosocial, and developmental conditions.
  3. Incorporating strategies within Occupational therapy processes and treatment plans that promote interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teamwork and patient-centered care.
  4. Liaising with referrers, families, and other stakeholders to support client outcomes.
  5. Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records and reports for NDIS, Medicare, and private clients.
The ideal candidate will need:
  1. Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent).
  2. At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
  3. Adaptability to changing environments and caseloads.
  4. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  5. The ability to work autonomously and as part of a close-knit, high-performing team.
