Head of Managed Services

We are looking for a talented leader to head up our Managed Services practice and help us take the service to the next level. You'll need hands on as well as team and MSP experience and be able to blend all three skillsets. You'll be with us on the journey as we mature and expand our MSP offering. We have currently passed five Cisco Powered Managed Services certifications. Help us build our customer base and deliver first rate MSP services to our clients. We are a Cisco Gold Provider partner, with the Cisco Powered Managed Services designation, so we are looking for an experienced Network Operations Manager to take our service offering to the next level. You will have experience in running a NOC and be able to demonstrate the innovation and development of the environment that you have achieved in your prior roles. We are a small team, so we require someone that can lead, but also innovate - this is the enjoyment of the role, as you will be able to make a practical, direct difference to what we do and the service we provide. IPTel Solutions delivers networking professional services to build corporate computer networks. We specialise in the delivery of Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) based networks and have a client base across Australia and NZ.

Job Overview

You'll need to be technical, to deliver support for Cisco and Meraki, along with the daily running of the NOC, so CCNP or CCIE is a preferred option. As a manager you'll be managing a small team and so need skills to lead from the front. Liaison with both the delivery and sales teams means you must be able to work as part of a larger team. Leading the team, you'll need to manage the overall operations, ensure customer satisfaction and deliver on the contracted outcomes of our MSP customers. You'll have a mix of technical and customer service skills - as well as be highly organised. We are growing and it\'s a great opportunity to help us shape our offering and lead from the front.

About You

To be successful, you\'ll need a mix of Cisco / Meraki experience, as well as a proven history in running a Managed Service practice:

• You have excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, and a genuine interest in people
• Have the ability to work autonomously as well as integrate into a high performance team
• You have sound technical knowledge (Cisco / Meraki) and have a passion for technology - ideally CCNP or CCIE
• You have a can-do attitude, be highly motivated and a fast learner
• You maintain a high level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail
• Effective multitasking, prioritisation and logical problem-solving abilities
• A strong commitment to continual improvement, innovation and learning.
• You\'ll need to know all about NOC monitoring software - we use LogicMonitor, so an advantage if you are familiar with this tool
• Be very familiar with NOC operating processes and be able to author and maintain these

We are looking for a full time, permanent person to join our team. You must already be resident in Australia, with rights to work and live in Australia.
