Overview

The Transmission and Distribution offering includes Transmission Lines & Cables, Earthing & Electromagnetics studies, Civil/Structural solutions, Infrastructure power and High Voltage Substations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of HV Primary Engineers in designing distribution and transmission systems (22kV to 500kV).
  • Oversee the development of substation layout designs, clearance studies, and earthing systems.
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring quality deliverables, timely execution, and budget adherence.
  • Effectively manage resources and project allocation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders, representing Jacobs as a trusted technical advisor.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in HV Primary Electrical Engineering, with a focus on substation design.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to guide and develop a technical team.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD.
  • Excellent project management and client relationship skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian standards and industry best practices (National Electricity Rules, AEMO Guidelines and Safety in Design).
  • Current CPEng and NER registrations.
