Working closely with project, construction and client teams, youwill lead the coordination of stakeholder engagement activities,oversee communications and reporting, manage stakeholder issues andrisks, and ensure contractual and client requirements aremet. Enjoy a 5/2 roster with a 10% uplift while workingonsite on our metro projects, providing an attractive opportunityto join a major infrastructure project close to home
To be considered for this position you will possess thefollowing:
- Demonstrated experience working on Main Roads WA, StateGovernment or other major infrastructure projects
- Significant experience in community and stakeholderengagement, communications, community relations or a similarrole on complex projects
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementingstakeholder engagement and communication plans
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, includingthe ability to prepare correspondence, notifications, reportsand presentations
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships withcommunity members, businesses, government agencies, clients andproject teams
- Demonstrated experience managing stakeholder enquiries,complaints, claims, issues and commitments through toresolution
- Ability to identify stakeholder risks, develop practicalmitigation strategies and provide timely advice to projectteams
- Strong understanding of contractual and client requirementsrelating to community and stakeholder engagement
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to managecompeting priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively withmultidisciplinary project and construction teams
- Understanding of community engagement principles andframeworks, including IAP2
- Experience using stakeholder management databases, CRMsystems or engagement tracking tools
- Experience working with Aboriginal stakeholders,Traditional Owners and culturally significant stakeholdergroups is desirable
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, InDesign orsimilar communication tools is desirable
Responsible for but not limited to:
- Develop, implement and regularly review the Community andStakeholder Engagement Plan
- Ensure contractual, regulatory and client community andstakeholder engagement requirements are understood and metacross the project
- Represent the Community and Stakeholder Engagement functionat project, client and stakeholder meetings and provide adviceon engagement issues and project risks
- Lead and coordinate stakeholder engagement activitiesacross planning, construction and completion phases
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents,businesses, landowners, community groups, local governments,road users and other stakeholders
- Coordinate stakeholder meetings, consultations, sitevisits, community information sessions, public displays,workshops and stakeholder briefings
- Establish and manage stakeholder reference groups andcommunity forums where required under project contracts
- Lead the management of community enquiries, complaints,claims and stakeholder issues through to resolution
- Identify emerging stakeholder issues, community concernsand reputational risks and provide timely advice andrecommendations to the project team
- Ensure stakeholder commitments, actions, responsetimeframes and engagement records are accurately tracked andmaintained
- Lead the development, review and approval of community andstakeholder communications including constructionnotifications, newsletters, fact sheets, FAQs and projectcorrespondence
- Work with construction teams to ensure communicationsaccurately reflect project activities, impacts, mitigations andtimeframes
- Coordinate project events, site tours, stakeholderbriefings, community initiatives and project promotionactivities
- Monitor stakeholder sentiment, engagement performance andcontractual requirements and provide regular reporting throughproject dashboards and weekly, monthly and quarterlyreports
- Support and develop project team understanding of communityand stakeholder requirements, including appropriate behaviourswhen engaging with members of the public
- Work collaboratively with the Aboriginal EngagementCoordinator to support appropriate engagement with TraditionalOwners and culturally significant stakeholder groups
