Driver Guides - Cairns Based Day Tours

Would you enjoy showcasing the beautiful North Queensland region to our overseas and domestic guests?

Here at Down Under Tours, in Cairns North Queensland, we are currently looking for people who know these areas well and able to or willing to train to guide and give well-informed interpretive experiences to our guests while also competently driving our coaches.

Essential to the role:

  • Skilled in conveying both guiding and interpretive commentary in the Cairns, Kuranda and Port Douglas areas
  • Ability to always provide excellent customer service
  • Enjoy delivering bucket-list experiences to guests
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency driving coaches requiring a medium rigid licence
  • Ability to work long days
  • Ability to remain calm and take control in the event of road-side emergencies or guest incidents where you are working away from home-base
  • Cultural knowledge and awareness
  • Current senior first aid and CPR certification
  • Must hold a minimum medium rigid licence and Drivers Authorisation / Passenger Authority
