Job Outline:

As a Merchandise Allocator at Calibre, you will play a vital role in effectively allocating and consolidating stock across our network of stores. Your primary responsibility will be to analyse inventory to optimise product distribution to maximise the rate of sale. You will utilise data analysis to determine the best inventory management strategies and forecast demand. The insights you provide will be critical to optimising inventory levels and improving overall operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for data-driven analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Analysis: Utilise data analysis techniques to review and analyse inventory data, including stock levels, sales patterns, and customer demand.
  • Merchandise Allocation and Consolidation: Strategically allocate and consolidate stock to ensure optimal distribution across our network of stores.
  • Forecasting Demand: Utilise sales history and data to forecast future inventory demand accurately.
  • Optimisation Strategies: Identify opportunities to improve inventory management, minimise stockouts, and reduce excess stock.
  • Reporting: Prepare clear and concise reports to communicate inventory analysis findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.

About You:

  • You have relevant experience in merchandise allocation, inventory analysis, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills: You possess the ability to analyse and interpret inventory data to derive actionable insights.
  • Problem-solving mindset: You thrive in solving inventory-related challenges through data-driven approaches.
  • Technical proficiency: You have comprehensive experience working with Excel. Knowledge of AP21 is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented: You have strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in inventory analysis.
  • Team player: You enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate your findings to stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: You can work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks effectively to meet inventory demands.
