Overview

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Apprentice (Avionics and Structures) role at Northrop Grumman Australia. You will be provided the opportunity to work across our KC-30A MRTT Aircraft and the C-27J Spartan Aircraft in the Brisbane Hangar and RAAF Base Amberley.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in accordance with the relevant Training Agreement and Plan to progress and achieve attainment of competencies required for the Cert IV in Aeroskills (Avionics or Structures).
  • Assist with weekly hangar clean-up and audits as directed by the relevant Crew Leader.
  • Assist in performing maintenance activities in support of Crew Leader, Certifying Staff and AME.
  • Assist production and support staff with Base Maintenance activities either in a direct or indirect capacity, as required.
  • Continuously audit Tools; FOD and Aeronautical Product control IAW approved Work Instructions.
  • Ensure that all activities undertaken fall within the relevant Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) for the assigned Program and relevant CASA or DASA regulations.
  • Source consumables; approved data; tools and coordinate with relevant trades for Component and Storage Maintenance.
Qualifications & About You
  • Completion of theory component of the Cert IV in Aeroskills.
  • Awareness of CASA and DASA regulatory environment and framework.
  • Passion and eagerness to work within the aviation industry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to obtain ASIC / DCAC / NV1.
