Prerequisites :

The Driller must have a current HR class license (or equivalent), generic construction experience, and at least 10 years of drilling experience involving RC-Deep Diamond directional water bore exposure. Must maintain a Cert III in Drilling.

Principal Function :

To operate land-based drilling rigs in Australia, recover accurate samples according to customer specifications and industry standards, and do so safely, cost-effectively, while complying with GeoDrill Australia policies and procedures.

Key Functions :

The key functions of the Driller include :

  • Conducting pre-start checks and safety inspections.
  • Servicing and maintaining the drill rig and auxiliary equipment, including rig setup.
  • Recovering samples.
  • Maintaining the hole as per the hole plan.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping.
  • Communicating effectively.
  • Managing crew behaviour at all times.
  • Controlling inventory.
  • Reporting and updating GDA-EMS.
  • Informing driller's assistants of project details.
  • Training drill crews in their required tasks.
  • Ensuring the safe operation of the rig and crew.

Salary :

From $100,000 per year
