Senior DevOps Engineer (Redhat Linux)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support container platform deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management using Docker, Kubernetes, and related tools.
  • Design and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible and Ansible Tower.
  • Manage and secure Linux-based environments, with a focus on RedHat Enterprise Linux.
  • Implement and maintain container tools such as Harbor, Docker-Compose, and Docker CLI.
  • Write and maintain automation scripts using Python and Bash.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues across containerised workloads.
  • Collaborate with network, storage, and security teams to support enterprise-grade data centre infrastructure.
  • Apply strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, and OSI layers in containerised environments.
  • Advocate for DevOps and container best practices, contributing to continuous improvement and platform stability.

Requirements

  • Strong recent experience in on-premise infrastructure environments (preferred over cloud-only experience).
  • Extensive hands-on experience with RedHat Linux systems.
  • Deep expertise in containerisation and orchestration, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proven skills in automation and configuration management using Ansible and Ansible Tower.
  • Scripting proficiency in Python and Bash.
  • Solid grasp of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, MAC, IP packets, DNS, etc.
  • Understanding of data centre technologies including storage, switching, and virtualisation.
  • Strong ownership, analytical thinking, and a structured, problem-solving mindset.
  • Solid foundation in system administration, security, and DevOps practices.
  • Must be Australian citizen

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with tools such as Dynatrace, Forgerock, or Elastic/Kibana.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure container practices.
