About The Role

As a Psychologist within our Rural Youth Mental Health Program, you will deliver high-quality, culturally appropriate psychological services to children, young people, and their families. Your work will focus on supporting clients through trauma-informed care, mental health interventions, and collaborative planning to achieve meaningful outcomes. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving lives.

You will be responsible for conducting psychological assessments, implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and contributing to case planning with families and other professionals. The position involves some travel across the Western NSW. You'll be part of a supportive environment that values professional development, reflective practice, and a shared commitment to client wellbeing.

Duties
  • Provide psychological assessments, consultations, and therapeutic interventions tailored to individual client needs.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to develop and implement effective case plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports including support plans, assessments, and intervention summaries.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and contribute to continuous improvement in service delivery.

Skills And Requirements
  • Degree qualification in Psychology and registration with AHPRA.
  • Experience working with children, youth, and families in therapeutic settings and in the completion of psychology assessments.
  • Strong communication and report writing skills, with the ability to translate complex information clearly.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and with external stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to travel and work outside standard hours when required.
