As our new Contract Management Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding the City's integrity and delivering value-for-money outcomes across major services and projects. You'll partner with leaders, contract owners and suppliers to ensure the City's contracts are watertight, fair, and delivering results for the community.

Responsibilities
  • Take accountability for medium to high-risk contracts from award to close-out ensuring probity, governance and performance.
  • Monitor supplier delivery, manage variations and disputes, and protect the City's legal, financial and reputational interests.
  • Be the trusted advisor to leaders and teams on contract obligations, supplier performance and risk.
  • Build organisational capability by coaching staff and improving frameworks, templates and processes.

About you

You bring strong experience in contract management within a regulated environment (government, utilities, infrastructure, or similar). You're confident navigating complex contracts, managing risks and disputes, and you can translate technical detail into clear advice for leaders. Membership of CIPS or equivalent is desirable — but what matters most is your expertise, judgement, and ability to build trust.
