Group General Manager

We're looking for a transformational leader who can bring structure, energy, and strategic direction to a growing retail business. As Group General Manager – Convenience & Fuel, you will take ownership of a division that includes both franchise and corporate-owned stores, with a clear objective to drive performance, build alignment, and lead the business into its next phase of growth.

Based in our Franchise Support Office at Kangaroo Point, you will report directly to the Franchisor and be accountable for overseeing and influencing key areas including marketing, buying, commercial operations, customer experience, franchise partnerships, and employee engagement. Your key focus is to ensure these functions operate cohesively to maximise profitability and drive exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive productivity and profitability by implementing strategies that optimise financial outcomes and support sustainable business growth.

Identify and analyse operational opportunities and challenges, promoting continuous improvement and efficiency across all areas of the business.

Leverage extensive experience across multiple business functions to influence strategic decisions, foster collaboration, and hold teams accountable for delivering measurable results.

Develop and present well-reasoned, data-driven business cases to align leadership, secure buy-in, and drive impactful outcomes.

Provide clear guidance and support to franchisee resources, fostering strong partnerships that enable mutual success and consistent execution of brand standards.

Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements, proactively managing compliance to safeguard brand reputation and maintain consumer trust.

Lead initiatives to expand and enhance the service offering, to meet evolving customer needs and market opportunities.

Highly effective communicator with advanced skills in negotiation, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.

Demonstrated capability to coach, mentor, and inspire senior leaders as well as frontline teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous development.

Ideally holds work-related experience, reflecting a strong commitment and hunger to drive personal and professional growth.
