● Design and development of automated solutions for planning, design, deployment, provisioning and operational engineering functions (end to end).

● Responsible for the solution design and development of the end to end fully automated integrated transport network planning solution.

● Responsible for modular and scalable solution designs that are cloud, container, and microservices based while also interfacing with our current Digital ecosystem.

● Responsible for solutions that meet regulatory and compliance standards.

● Lead the technological evolution by bringing in industry and competitive knowledge from the market to steer our roadmap to suit the dynamic and volatile ecosystem.

Required knowledge/ skills:

  1. Sound knowledge of PAM and Ansible applications.
  2. Knowledge of DevOps development principles and CI/CD.
  3. Track record of successfully designing, developing, and deploying software in test and production environments. 6 to 7 years of software development experience working in a Telecom IP Networks/transport network environment.
  4. Proficient knowledge of Python with a minimum of 7 years' experience.
  5. Basic understanding of network protocols such as Segment Routing, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, and Traffic Engineering.
  6. Expertise with routers from Cisco/Juniper/Nokia.
  7. Good knowledge of Ansible for infrastructure and network automation.
  8. Strong understanding of fundamental changes to the software and technology business driven by DevOps and the move to cloud computing and APIs, and microservices is critical.
  9. A deep understanding of how to consume and design RESTful APIs.
  10. Database experience with SQL, MySQL, and/or Postgres.
  11. Knowledge of a conventional software development lifecycle, including development, testing, and deployment (e.g., Waterfall, Kanban, SCRUM).
  12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical scenarios in simplified 'business relevant' terms.
  13. Learning agility to stay ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving NetDevOps niche skill domain.
  14. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate across many cross-functional domains to drive towards one purpose.
  15. Strong problem-solving skills to navigate through complex and uncertain challenges to come up with solutions that present the best business outcomes in both the short and long terms.
