Overview:
As a Warehouse Goods Handler, you will play a key role in the accurate and timely handling of products, from receiving to dispatching. This position requires someone with excellent attention to detail, a strong focus on customer service, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You'll be responsible for maintaining high standards in the warehouse while supporting both internal and external customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving (40%): Receive and book incoming goods, process returned items, and ensure everything is stored properly and promptly.
  • Materials Handling (50%): Pick, check, pack, and ship orders. Manage incoming shipments and ensure the warehouse is secure and organised. Handle customer inquiries efficiently.
  • OH&S in the Warehouse (5%): Follow all Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) guidelines, reducing risks by using proper manual handling techniques.
  • Training (3%): Participate in training activities, including acting as a trainer when required.
  • Quality Systems (2%): Ensure compliance with ISO9000:2000 standards in all warehouse operations.

Skills & Experience:
IDEALLY Looking for, but not essential

  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse and distribution, ideally in health care.
  • Experience with electronic bar-code and inventory systems, including SAP.
  • Familiarity with cycle counting and discrepancy investigations.
