About the Role
As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant, you will be providing personalised home care support to older Australians in Ipswichso they can continue living independently in their own homes. You will travel between clients' homes, so a willingness to travel is essential (you will be reimbursed .99c per KM travelled while you are working).
We have Casual opportunities with shifts available between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work and no evening or overnight shifts. The hours available will have a view to grow as our services grow in the Ipswich area. Key Responsibilities
- Domestic assistance such as light house cleaning and meal preparation
- Personal care inclusive of showering, daily hygiene, monitoring of health and wellbeing
- Community access to medical appointments and social activities
- Provide support with daily tasks and routines
- Build positive relationships with clients and their families
Skills & Experience
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Ageing Support or similar
- An Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check and an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
