About Our Role

For more than 19 years, WGA has been delivering a broad range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects for utilities, local government clients and contractors. Due to a rapidly growing list of exciting new opportunities across multiple regions we are looking to increase our delivery capability with the addition of a Principal Engineer to be based in our Adelaide office.

• Deliver the detailed design of a broad range of water and waste projects including pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities and managed aquifer recharge schemes.
• Provide technical mentoring to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Ensure design compliance with relevant standards, codes, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and sustainable solutions.
• Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
• Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project alignment and success.
  
  

About You

• Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
• 7+ years' experience delivering engineering solutions for water/wastewater infrastructure projects
• Chartered Engineer status (CPEng or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of Australian water industry standards and sustainability practices.
• Consulting experience (desirable)
• Proven track record of technical leadership and mentoring.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to get involved and lead others, whilst contributing to a vibrant team.
• Up for the challenge of contributing to growing our water business across Australia.
