A specialized cardiac sonographer independently performs echocardiograms, including TTE, transesophageal, stress, 3D, Doppler, and Strain imaging in inpatient, outpatient, and off-site settings. The results directly impact patient care.

• Completion of an accredited Sonography program OR one year of full-time cardiac echocardiography experience OR completion of an approved Echo Trainee Program OR Summa Sonographer Intern requirements.
• Registered in the field (RVS, RVT, RDMS, RCS, RDCS).
• Basic Life Support certification.

• Ability to make independent clinical assessments and judgments.
• Quickly assess and resolve scanning, technical, and patient care issues professionally.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare professionals.
• Provide high-quality echocardiogram examinations routinely.
• Operate and calibrate equipment; lift and transport patients and equipment.
• Prioritize work independently and resolve problems effectively.
• Remain calm and effective in emergencies.
• Work well as part of a team.
• Understand and respect patient needs for dignity and self-respect.

Heavy exertion: lifting objects weighing 25-100 pounds, with continuous effort for 10-20 pounds.

Salary: $34.74/hr - $41.69/hr, based on experience and location. The range is the full base salary range, with offers considering internal equity and other factors.
