We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join this large financial organisation. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of business analysis principles, coupled with advanced technical skills to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solu4ons.

This role requires a proactive individual who can lead complex projects, collaborate with cross- functional teams, and drive the successful implementation of technical solutions that align with business objectives. The Business Analyst will analyse complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insights to decision-makers. They will perform statical modelling and analysis of structured and unstructured datasets to develop metrics, reports, and visualisations of trends and patterns.

Business Data Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for end-to-end supply chain improvement and develop data-driven solutions
  • Leverage understanding of supply chain principles and analytics techniques to identify critical control points and performance metrics
  • Translate business problems into manageable analytics projects and lead execu4on across cross- functional teams
  • Develop decision support systems, accessible tools, and models that are scalable and reproducible to guide run-the-business and transformational initiatives
  • Partner with Data Engineers early to align on data foundation and data quality strategies
  • Communicate at scale through multiple mediums: presenta4ons, dashboards, company-wide
  • datasets, bots and more

About The Role

  • In this role we are not looking for BA's with traditional analysis skills but rather those with a heavy background in data who can analyse and translate code (such as SQL) to determine how business rules are derived.
  • Can determine and document the business and technical rules that relate to data elements that can be loaded into a business glossary.
  • Is articulate, clear, and concise in their ability to communicate with the business.
  • Ability to work with subject maLer experts and stakeholders to understand and translate
  • their repor4ng needs.
  • Background or awareness of APRA reporting or other regulatory repor4ng within financial
  • services
  • Data governance experience would be useful
