HV Electrician

About the role:

We are seeking a skilled HV Electrician to join our team on a full-time basis at Marvel Loch in Southern Cross (Barto Gold). In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and repair of high-voltage electrical installations associated with fixed plant assets within a mining facility. You will work collaboratively with other team members to deliver high-quality mechanical services aligned with our safety standards and operational objectives.

Location: Southern Cross

Roster: 8/6 roster

Commute: BIBO from Malaga depot or DIDO opportunities for locals to Southern Cross and surroundings

Responsibilities & Duties:

Complete all required safety documentation before commencing works including G2G, JHA/SWP/SWMS and permit to work.

Adhere to safety rules and procedures when working with electricity including wearing the protective PPE required for performing the works safely.

Conduct machine pre starts and checks on the equipment and tools to ensure they are safe to use.

Perform maintenance works on high-voltage electrical systems and equipment.

Install, maintain and repair high-voltage electrical systems and equipment.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical problems.

Perform measurements and prepare technical documentation.

Perform alternative tasks other than electrical works as directed by the responsible supervisor.

About you:

Australia recognised Electrical trade qualification

National Police Clearance

WA Electrical Licence

High Voltage Switching certificate

Australian Drivers Licence

Current Working at Heights

Current Confined Space Entry Training

Australian High Risk Work License in Forklift and EWP (desirable)

At least 5 years' experience in a similar capacity in mining/construction industry

Experience as a High Voltage Electrician in a mining or heavy industrial environment
