Charters Towers, Australia Allied Therapeutic Services Full time

Imagine a role where every day feels like a chance to change someone's story. A place where your skills bring dreams to life in a small rural community and where every small win is celebrated by a team that values excellence just as much as you do. If you're an Occupational Therapist ready to make that kind of impact, we've got a role with your name on it.

Join Allied Therapeutic Services Hub (ATS), a dynamic, regional business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, tailored allied health services across North Queensland. We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver services and intervention in clinic, community or at home to clients within the Charters Towers region.

Employee or contractor model can be considered.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to provide holistic, person-centred OT services to individuals and families in rural and remote areas in and around Charters Towers. You'll support clients across the lifespan with a diverse caseload that builds your skills and keeps things interesting.

You'll work face-to-face in clinic or community settings—homes, schools, early learning centres, aged care, or wherever therapy makes the most sense. Some telehealth may be included to extend your reach.

You'll be supported by a multidisciplinary team of passionate clinicians within the Townsville Hub and across the ATS organisation who back each other, share knowledge, and celebrate wins together, no matter the postcode. You will also have a dedicated administration team to help schedule your clients and work with you regarding your administration requirements.

We'll provide the tech setup, clinical resources, ongoing support, and professional development you need to thrive.

Who Are You?

  • A self-starting, courageous, and compassionate occupational therapist with current AHPRA registration who believes in the potential within every person.
    • A passion for working within rural areas and enjoys the creativity and challenge that this brings.
      • You have a flair for working across the lifespan with both adult and paediatric clients.
      • You thrive on fun and teamwork and enjoy collaborating with colleagues, clients, and families to achieve the best outcomes.
        • You're confident, adaptable, and love thinking on your feet
          • You're independent and deeply self-motivated, but still value team connection
            • You've got great clinical judgement, a curious mind, and a solid sense of adventure
              • You're comfortable working across ages and diagnoses, or keen to grow into that
                • Hold a Class C Driver's License and own your own vehicle

What Will You Do?

As an Occupational Therapist on our team, no two days are the same, and you'll do more than just meet goals — You'll empower individuals on their journey, helping them achieve the extraordinary in everyday life. Each day, you'll find creative solutions to life's everyday hurdles, working with a team who is as enthusiastic about your success as they are about our clients'. Together, we believe that by empowering others, we build stronger communities.

You'll be delivering assessments & interventions to individuals and families across Charters Towers, making meaningful impact where it matters most. You'll work with individuals under the NDIS, Aged Care, or other funding streams. You will have autonomy with strong team support.
