About Our Client

A fast-growing, dynamic startup in the broking and capital markets space is looking for a Corporate Finance Analyst to join as the first hire in its newly formed Corporate Finance division. Competitive salary, performance incentives, and long-term growth on offer.

Job Description

  • Lead and manage listed equity transactions, including IPOs, placements, and secondary offerings.
  • Prepare deal documentation such as prospectuses, information memorandums, and investor presentations.
  • Conduct due diligence and financial analysis on companies raising capital.
  • Provide strategic advice on deal structuring, pricing, and market positioning.
  • Build and maintain relationships with investment banks, brokers, institutional investors, and legal advisors.
  • Liaise with co-managers and stakeholders in multi-party capital raisings.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with ASIC and ASX regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor equity capital markets and provide insights to inform deal strategy.
  • Collaborate directly with senior leadership to shape and grow the corporate finance division.
  • Help define internal processes and set the strategic direction for the team as the first hire in the division

The Successful Applicant

  • Has 5+ years of experience in corporate finance, equity capital markets (ECM), or investment banking, with a strong track record in IPOs and capital raising.
  • Brings deep understanding of ASX listing rules, ASIC compliance, and public market transaction processes.
  • Possesses excellent deal execution skills, including financial analysis, due diligence, and drafting of key documents (e.g., prospectus, IM).
  • Has a well-developed network across capital markets - including brokers, investment banks, legal advisors, and institutional investors.
  • Is entrepreneurial, commercially-minded, and eager to take ownership of building a new business unit.
  • Communicates confidently with senior stakeholders and thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Holds an RG146 qualification or is eligible to obtain it.

What's on Offer

  • A rare opportunity to be the first hire in a newly created Corporate Finance division at a high-growth startup.
  • The chance to build and lead the function from the ground up, working closely with senior leadership.
  • Full ownership of end-to-end deal execution across IPOs, placements, and capital raisings.
  • A high-impact, strategic role with real influence over the direction of the business.
  • Exposure to a wide range of clients, sectors, and listed transactions in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • A competitive base salary with performance-based incentives and long-term growth potential.
  • Flexible, dynamic working culture with a strong emphasis on innovation and professional development
