Overview

Staff Platform Engineer - Identity Access Lifecycle. Commonwealth Bank invites applications for the Staff Platform Engineer - Identity Access lifecycle role.

Responsibilities
  • Lead key project initiatives that drive the organisation's automation and optimisation capabilities, including the design and deployment of secure, scalable infrastructure and services in cloud environments such as AWS. Collaborating with the team to take ownership for platforms and services including Sailpoint, CyberArk and PingID.
  • As a Staff Engineer, you are a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME), consulting on technical strategies, products, and feature designs, and contributing to quality implementation and delivery. You may work as a Full Cycle Engineer, including automation development, systems integration, and evolving platforms and business strategy.
  • Attend regular engineering guilds and participate in agile ceremonies to broaden expertise and help define how the team operates.
What we're looking for
  • Assist with designing innovative solutions to solve complicated problems as part of a cross-functional squad.
  • Have led major end-to-end enterprise solutions including discovery, strategy, design, product, development, and deployment.
  • Demonstrate a DevSecOps mindset and approach: you build it, you secure it, you test it, and you run it.
  • Ensure our technical approach is sound, fit for purpose, and well architected.
  • Support deployments across Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) through continuous delivery pipelines. Promote a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and innovation, while contributing to governance, standards, and best practices.
Tech Skills

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. Experience or exposure with some, or their equivalents, will help you succeed in this team:

  • Expert in SDLC and Agile methods with broader experience around architecture, design, implementation, deployment, integration, and technology transformations.
  • Experience with SailPoint IIQ and broader IAM products (CyberArk, Ping) is highly desirable.
  • Software: Microservices, Databases, Event Streaming and Serverless Frameworks.
  • Coding Languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript.
  • DevSecOps: CI/CD tools (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity, Snyk, SonarQube, Octopus).
  • Network: Firewall, network segmentation, Infrastructure as code, API gateways.
  • IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation.
  • Containerisation: Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Front End: React-based, JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS, Angular).
  • AI & ML and LLM knowledge is desired.
