Your New Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Speech Pathologist to deliver high-quality, evidence-based clinical services within the Adolescent Day Program (ADP) and/or the Acute Adolescent Mental Health Unit at Logan Hospital. Key responsibilities include:

Providing comprehensive speech pathology assessment, intervention, and evaluation within a multidisciplinary team for adolescents with complex mental health needs.
Contributing to service development, quality improvement, and clinical education initiatives to advance speech pathology practices and optimize patient care.
Supervising and mentoring less experienced clinicians, students, and Allied Health Assistants to foster professional growth and maintain clinical standards.
Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, families, and external agencies to ensure holistic, patient-centred care and effective discharge planning.

About you:

The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate

Extensive clinical expertise in delivering speech pathology services within adolescent mental health settings, with strong evidence-based practice skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage multidisciplinary teams, clients, carers, and external stakeholders, including conflict resolution skills.
Proven experience managing complex caseloads, prioritizing clinical demands, and facilitating patient discharge planning in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership capabilities in supervising and supporting junior clinicians, students, and allied health staff to enhance team performance and professional development.
