A happy and loving professional family in Paradise Point QLD are seeking a calm and nurturing nanny to assist in the care of their newborn baby girl (8 weeks old).

An ideal nanny will be experienced, warm, calm, and nurturing. A nanny that is friendly, happy, playful, and genuinely interested to actively engage with the baby to assist with growth and development.

The family is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys their role as a nanny, is patient, honest, safe, and responsible and is able to care for the baby throughout the day.

Prior experience/professional qualifications working with young/newborn babies is highly important for this role.

Both parents work from home and occasionally must attend appointments away from the house. The house is a large waterfront home so there is lots of space for everyone.

The carer's responsibilities for this role will be as follows –

  • To care for the baby
  • Follow the baby's routines
  • Play and engage in age-appropriate activities to assist in the baby's growth and development
  • Take the baby out for walks, to the park and playground
  • Wash and sterilise bottles

Contract length: 6 months at this stage

The days and normal hours are:- 2 days –

Tuesday 9am – 4pm

Thursday 9am – 4pm

*Additional hours may be required from time to time (notice will be given)

*Flexibility with days/hours for the right candidate

The family's expectations from their nanny are –

  • 5+ years experience as a nanny or working in child care
  • Young baby experience (below 6 months of age)
  • Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
  • Have a current Blue Card
  • Display strong communication skills and speak English
  • Up to date with all vaccinations
  • Fit, healthy, and active
