About The Role
  • Administrative Support: Coordinate administrative support for the billing team, ensuring efficient daily operations and high service standards.
  • Billing & Claims: Assist with billing patient accounts to Medicare, Health Funds, and self-insured patients including follow up and reviewing rejections.
  • Collaboration & Follow-Up: Work with treating doctors, Debt Recovery, and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure timely processing of claims and payments.
  • Organizational Skills: Scan, store and manage patient and health fund documentation while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Key Skills & Support: Use Microsoft Office and strong communication skills to assist the Revenue Manager with reports and ad-hoc tasks.

  • Team Player with Independence: works in team but can manage tasks independently.
  • Tech-Savvy: proficient in Microsoft Office and other systems; quick to learn new tools.
  • Health Admin Know-How (a bonus): experience in health administration or billing; training available.

About The Hospital

Based at St Vincent's hospital, Darlinghurst. A busy inner-city hospital with access to cafes, galleries, theatres, parks, nightlife, and beaches. Centres of excellence include heart & lung transplantation, bone marrow transplantation, cardiology, cancer care, AIDS/HIV, respiratory medicine, mental health, homeless health, drug & alcohol services, and correctional health.
