The Role
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations, safety, and presentation of a high-traffic mixed-use centre. From minor maintenance tasks and contractor coordination to WHS compliance and risk management—you'll play a critical role in ensuring tenants, visitors, and staff enjoy a safe, clean, and professionally managed environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections and minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, lighting, painting, gardening)
- Support the setup of centre events and seasonal displays
- Maintain mechanical plant rooms and equipment to ensure ongoing functionality
- Assist in compiling the Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS) and preventive maintenance schedules

The Role
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations, safety, and presentation of a high-traffic mixed-use centre. From minor maintenance tasks and contractor coordination to WHS compliance and risk management—you'll play a critical role in ensuring tenants, visitors, and staff enjoy a safe, clean, and professionally managed environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections and minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, lighting, painting, gardening)
- Support the setup of centre events and seasonal displays
- Maintain mechanical plant rooms and equipment to ensure ongoing functionality
- Coordinate contractor services (HVAC, lifts, security, fire systems, pest control, etc.)
- Assist in compiling the Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS) and preventive maintenance schedules
- Supervise cleaning teams and monitor service levels
- Source quotes and manage small-scale upgrade projects
- Maintain logs for compliance, servicing, and contractor records
- Identify and report hazards, incidents, and maintenance risks
- Participate in Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) training and drills
- Enforce site compliance with WHS legislation and company protocols
- Contribute to maintenance budgeting and operational planning
- Assist with forecasting, reporting, and compliance documentation
- Maintain positive, professional communication with tenants and contractors
- Represent the centre in a courteous and service-oriented manner
- 3+ years' experience in building or facilities maintenance (retail/commercial, highly regarded)
- Solid trade knowledge and general maintenance skills
- Strong understanding of WHS, risk, and compliance requirements
- Experience managing contractors and supervising cleaning staff
- Excellent communication and reporting ability
- White Card and driver's licence preferred
- Familiarity with Yardi or similar facility management systems is a bonus
