St John XXIII Catholic College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Diverse Learning Teacher to join our vibrant learning community in Stanhope Gardens.

As a teacher at St John XXIII Catholic College, you will play a vital role in fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment that inspires students to reach their full potential. We are seeking a Diverse Learning Teacher to join our dynamic school community on an ongoing full-time basis.

This appointment is temporary and full-time, commencing Term 4, 2025, and concluding on 19 December 2026.

To join our vibrant school community, you will:

• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and challenging learning environment, implementing fair and equitable behaviour management plans.
• Interpret and use student assessment data to diagnose barriers to learning and challenge students to improve their performance, thereby enhancing overall academic achievement.
• Engage with our school community within and beyond the classroom to enrich the educational experience for students and promote links between school, home, and community in their social and intellectual development.
• Demonstrate passion for transformational education, integrated into curriculum and delivered in a faith-based environment.
• Have well-developed communication, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
• Support students with diverse learning needs, which may be advantageous.

The successful candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:

• Knowledge of the fundamentals of the NCCD, Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA), and Disability Standards for Education 2005.
• Experience in creating personalised plans for students with diverse needs.
• Experience supporting diverse learners from Years 5-12 within flexible learning spaces.
• Experience facilitating staff development and parent education programs, including staff meetings, professional learning, and parent information sessions.
• Specialist/Inclusive Education qualifications.
• Certificate IV in TAE would be beneficial.

Qualifications:

• Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation (Working with Children Check clearance).

• Tertiary qualification (minimum 4-year degree or 75% completion).
