We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to join a dynamic team, contracted to various Australian Federal Government departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and customising Salesforce solutions to support business processes and enhance service delivery across government agencies. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects using cutting-edge technologies in a collaborative and agile environment.

This role will be based in Melbourne, VIC, and offers a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Skills and Experience Requirements

• Salesforce Development: Proven experience with Salesforce Development, including Salesforce Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, and Salesforce integration with other systems.
• Salesforce Configuration: Strong skills in Salesforce configuration, including building custom objects, fields, workflows, and page layouts.
• Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile environments and applying Agile methodologies for solution development.
• Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce development certifications such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (or higher) will be highly regarded.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both business and technical stakeholders effectively.
• Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline clearance for federal government work.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Salesforce Solution Design and Development: Develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions that meet the needs of Australian Federal Government departments.
• System Integration: Integrate Salesforce with other systems and databases to streamline workflows and data sharing.
• Configuration and Customisation: Configure and customise Salesforce environments to align with business processes and functional requirements.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with project teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned with business goals and user requirements.
• Documentation and Best Practices: Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, customisations, and solutions. Ensure adherence to Salesforce development best practices.
• Agile Development: Participate in Agile sprints and collaborate with other team members in an iterative development environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Testing and Support: Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Salesforce applications.

Working Arrangements

• Location: Melbourne, VIC.
• Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Hybrid Work: The contractor will be required to work onsite at the government department's office in Melbourne for the first 6 weeks before a hybrid flexible working arrangement is considered. Any WFH arrangements will require the contractor to work a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.

Security Clearance

• Candidates must be able to obtain Baseline clearance prior to commencement.

Period of Engagement

• Initial Contract Duration: 12 months
• Extension Term: Up to an additional 12 months, with 2 extensions possible.
• Salesforce Development: Proven experience in Salesforce Development, including Salesforce Lightning, Apex, and Salesforce integration.
• Salesforce Configuration: Strong skills in Salesforce configuration and customisation to meet business needs.
• Agile Methodology: Experience applying Agile methodologies in Salesforce solution development.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience liaising with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline clearance.
• Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or higher certification will be highly regarded.
• Government Experience: Experience working with Australian Federal Government departments and understanding of public sector requirements is desirable.
