The Company

Our client is a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty truck and bus bullbars. They specialise in high-strength, FUPS-compliant aluminium bullbars designed for safety, durability, and performance. With over 30 years of industry expertise, they offer in-house design, manufacturing, and fitting services for brands such as Kenworth, Volvo, Western Star, and many more.

Responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to :

  • Surface Preparation: clean and prepare raw aluminium surfaces by removing scratches, weld marks, and other imperfections using sanding tools and abrasives
  • Polishing: polish bull bars and aluminium components with both hand tools and polishing machines
  • Finishing: apply final buffing and protective coatings as needed, ensuring a consistent & professional finish that meets stringent quality standards
  • Inspection: perform thorough visual and tactile quality checks throughout the polishing process to guarantee all products are free from defects or blemishes

To be considered for this role you should possess the following :

  • Trade qualification in metal finishing (Cert III / IV) or equivalent hands-on experience in metal polishing or metalwork
  • Proven experience with aluminium or metal polishing using tools like grinders, buffers, and hand polishers
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality, mirror-like finishes
  • Basic knowledge of workplace health and safety when working with machinery and chemicals
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with good communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with fabrication, assembly, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment on job requirements and deadlines

Hours & Rates

Day shift hours : Monday to Thursday 6:00am to 2:30pm

Friday 6:00am to 12:00pm

Up to $43 per hour (depending on experience) + OT + super
