Introduction:

Powertech Resourcing is a multidisciplinary commissioning organisation providing services to the energy and resources sectors throughout Australia.

Due to continued growth and expansion in the business, we are currently taking applications for (OFFSHORE) Instrumentation and Control Commissioning Technician's to join our clients team in the Oil and Gas industry.

Start:

• x2 1st September 2025
• x2 22nd September 2025
  
  

Details:

• Oil and Gas client
• Scope - Commissioning on Offshore platform
• Roster: 3 weeks on : 3 week off
• Hours: 12 hours per day
• Excellent $$$ rates
• Superannuation paid on all hours worked
• Duration: End of 2025
  
  

Please note****

Previous Offshore, Commissioning and Oil and Gas experience is mandatory for the successful candidate

Must be based in Australia

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring that instrumentation and control systems on offshore platforms are properly installed, tested, and commissioned
• Ensuring that all systems are fully functional and meet operational, safety, and regulatory standards before they are handed over for production.
• Installation Checks, Functional Loop Checks, C&E Testing, Logic Verification, SIF Testing & System Start-Up support
• Calibrations, Installation Checks, Functional Loop Checks, Logic Verification.
• Commissioning/start-up Tasks: Logic Rectification & Loop Tuning.
• Develop Safety Instrumented Function Test procedures.
• Complete inspections, punch lists and check sheets and perform instrument installations, heat traces, fault finding and commissioning while completing hazardous area inspections.
• Comply with site workplace health and safety procedures, legislation, and policy always, creating a zero-harm workplace and manage cable tray installation and switchboard terminations.
  
  

Experience, skills and qualifications:

Essential:

• WA - Unrestricted Electrical Licence (A-Grade)- Requirement
• Cert III Instrumentation - Requirement
• Previous offshore experience - Requirement
• Oil and Gas experience - Requirement
• TBOSIET (FOET, BOSIET with CAEBS are also accepted) - Requirement
• Escape Chute Requirement
• MSIC - Requirement
• EEHA Certificate - Requirement
• Trade Certificate - Requirement
• CPR / LVR certificates - Requirement
  
  

Not essential, though desirable:

• Enter Confined Space - Desirable
• Work Safely at Heights - Desirable
• Prochem Gyrolok Tubing Course - Desirable
