Nurse Unit Manager (Sexual Assault) – Women's and Children's Services at Mackay Hospital and Health Service. This is a temporary appointment within the Women's and Children's Services at the Mackay Base Hospital.
Responsibilities- Serve as an advanced practice nursing position with specialised clinical expertise and/or skill set.
- Provide direct care and/or support of systems, education and professional leadership.
- Offer consultation and professional advice within the service.
- Responsibility for a cohort of staff reporting to the position, including education and research advice.
- Registered Nurse (Nursing).
- Demonstrated specialised clinical expertise and/or leadership in a relevant area.
- Experience in sexual assault services or trauma-informed care is advantageous (not required information from original text but aligns with role).
The Mackay HHS Sexual Assault Service operates within the Hospital and Health Service to provide trauma-informed, medically/forensically responsive care. The service is multidisciplinary and aims to deliver 24-hour wrap-around support for victims-survivors of sexual assault.
