Along with that, a successful candidate must be:
- Someone who is familiar and ideally has experience with independent schools in NSW/QLD
- Has an understanding of key solutions sets and technology involved in education
- Has empathy and understanding of tensions in the education sector
- Someone who is ambitious and has the drive to provide sustainable and innovative ideas to manage school manage their technology needs now and in the future
- Minimum 3 years' experience of technology sales
- Technical understanding of managed services, networks and /or security solutions
- Established skill set in solution and relationship sales
- Demonstrated achievement of sales quota goals on a consistent basis
- Proven history of selling large technology projects that require multi-level approvals in small - mid size organizations
- Experience developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Competence and confidence in presenting
- Proven track record in the local IT industry
What to Expect from the Role
• Designing and implementing a sales strategy to meet or exceed monthly GP target
• Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with designated clients to effectively manage current account relationships and drive revenue growth
• Being the primary point of contact for allocated clients, acting as the main interface between the client and New Era to ensure an optimal level of service is provided at all times
• Increasing revenue gained from clients through the ongoing sales of equipment, solutions, services and infrastructure projects
• Driving revenue growth through positioning of products and solutions at appropriate stages of the sales cycle, qualifying new opportunities and assisting in the development and execution of account planning
• Selling across all New Era product categories
• Proactively pursuing new business opportunities to increase revenue streams including growing, maintaining and leveraging your network
• Prospecting for potential new clients through cold calling to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
• Providing clients with ongoing and relevant information through regular meetings, workshops, conferences, and other mechanisms to maintain their commitment to New Era
• Taking a proactive role in the early requirement qualifications process to develop an understanding of the client's business requirements, service issues and articulate solutions persuasively
• Qualifying client requirements, designing and costing solutions, detailing scope and providing design input to service proposals
• Preparing and presenting quotations, client proposals and IT solutions for clients
• Effectively communicating with delivery teams to ensure the effective delivery of client projects
• Acting as an escalation point for any client issues or concerns
• Conducting regular account reviews of assigned accounts to identify potential new opportunities
• Responding to client requests in a timely manner
• Representing New Era at trade shows, networking events, trade associations and client meetings to promote product and services offerings
• Ensuring forecasting of sales opportunities and pipeline is kept up to date and reported as required
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client information and sales activity in CRM
• Effectively presenting strategic account information to executive management team in Quarterly Business Reviews
• Completing all development plans accurately
• Participating in sales training activities including maintaining certification and accreditation with our chosen vendors and partners
• Other related duties as required.
Qualifications
• Tertiary qualification in relevant field is desirable.
• Any applicable Vendor Sales Certificates desirable
