Job Description

This opportunity is offered on a part time contract working 3 days a week, 45.6 hours per fortnight. This is offered in a hybrid capacity where some work will be done from our Manly office whilst there is some work that can be done from home.

The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support and relief for the Health Information and Privacy Coordinator and provide efficient and timely customer service to both internal and external customers and give all round clinical administrative support to the health professionals. This role will also be a medical typist, giving administrative support to medical doctors and allied health clinicians.

Desired Skills and Experience

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and independently
  • Highly efficient and reliable, well organised and methodical, able to problem-solve, with a high attention to detail
  • A high level of integrity, both professional and personal
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and databases concurrently
  • Experience working with electronic medical files
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the Sydney Metro region to obtain and copy medical records

Whilst in the Medical Typist capacity you will have:

  • High level of digital literacy and experience with Outlook, Microsoft Word and Adobe
  • Willingness to do repetitive tasks fast and efficiently.
  • Typing skills over 50 wpm
  • Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail
  • Skilled in formatting word documents
  • Medical terminology experience, highly desirable
  • Experience using Dictaphone software
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise
  • Ability to work both as a member of a team and independently
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Experience in a similar role
