THE JOB

Snowy Valleys Council is seeking a fit and capable person with concreting skills and experience to join our Concreting and Drainage Team. This position involves undertaking concreting and civil labouring works in the construction and maintenance of concrete and drainage infrastructure, including but not limited to: footpaths, pavers, kerb and gutters, blisters, paths, driveways, roundabouts, and stormwater drainage infrastructure.

Ideally, we are seeking someone with high-level experience; however, we are open to applications from candidates with less experience who demonstrate a good team fit and a can-do attitude. THE LOCATION

Snowy Valleys Council is a scenic and heritage-rich local government area in the South-West Slopes region of New South Wales, spanning 8,959 km2, with approximately 15,000 residents living in vibrant towns, villages, and rural properties. It is an ideal location for families and those seeking a relaxed, affordable lifestyle with access to leisure options, shopping, education, and employment opportunities.

THE BENEFITS

  • This is a permanent full-time position working 76 hours per fortnight on a 9-day fortnight arrangement.
  • Hourly rate of $38.55 (gross) plus 12% superannuation.
  • Overtime is not guaranteed; however, the team regularly undertakes additional hours.
  • Access to long service leave after 5 years.
  • Generous leave entitlements.
  • Remote area salary sacrifice options are available.
