Safran has significant expertise, products and market penetration within the areas of Portable and Land Vehicle Optronics, Direct Fires Optronic solutions, land based ISR Solutions, Position Navigation and Timing, Navigation Warfare, Integrated Solider Systems, Tactical Airborne Systems, Parachutes and Beacons.
Reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing, the Account Manager, Airborne Major Campaigns is responsible for Strategy, Business Development and Capture, Proposal Development and Negotiations with Australian and NZ customers. This role will focus on major and strategic campaigns within the business and perform the account management function with Air Force and lead all sales and capture activities for airborne, aerospace and weapons solutions.

Information about the Role:This role will align with the Sales and Marketing business strategy defined jointly by SAFRAN E&D France and SEDA. This role will be part of the local Sales & Marketing team and will operate based on the yearly commercial objectives established jointly and assist in defining the strategy.

Consult and cooperate with management in meeting WH&S obligations
The ability and willingness to be flexible with hours will be taken into account when remuneration is reviewed.
Frequent requirement to undertake travel internationally or domestically, wherever required for both short and extended periods
Responsibilities include:Sales of Safran E&D (commercial and military) equipment, systems and services
Area of Operations: Australia & New Zealand
Build and maintain customer relationships
Implementation of SEDA business strategy
Contract negotiation and bid preparation
Develop business and capture plans
Establish market surveys and benchmark SEDA products and services
Organisation of local seminars, exhibitions and conferences
Editorial white papers, conference speaker
Definition of mid-term and long term business development plan
Collaborative agreement on yearly sales objectives
Desired Skills and Qualifications:Tertiary level business, science or engineering education preferred
Minimum 10+ years' experience within Defence, CASG and/or Defence Industry, including business development experience with a track record of success
Technical and/or operational expertise in Avionics, Aerospace Systems, Guided Weapons is desirable.
Knowledge of ASDEFCON template
Australian Citizen with current ability to gain AGSVA Security Clearance
Knowledge of GNSS systems, Navigation Systems, Optronics and Optical Systems would be advantageous
